How to Get Listed in the Search Engines With SEO

I was recently talking to an associate of mine who is in the business of promoting new and rather innovative products through network marketing.

As we discussed some of the problems of setting up links and pages for a new web site he was launching, I was surprised when he mentioned he wasn't interested in having it launched through-out all the search engines, as he simply intended to give his prospects the website address.

Apparently, he needs to grow his business on a more personal level, which certainly may be perfect for his type of products.

On the other hand, most individuals offering services or products want as many customers and clients as possible, and that certainly includes the thousands that browse the internet each day.

I am an online writer and web site consultant, and it is thru good search engine optimizing or SEO that I am actually able to be found by people like you. Good SEO, thru a content driven web site, allows a search engine to index your site's pages through the use of related key phrases and words people type in the search box.

Let's say for example, you are a local representative in a certain area, offering up low cost insurance. Now of course, while it would be important to have the name of your city and state listed somewhere on your web site's pages, it would prove even more valuable to readers if your web site included several articles about your low cost insurance, why they need your type of insurance, and most importantly several interesting articles they can learn something about...you guessed it, your type of insurance. Get the picture?

That's where good SEO or Search Engine Optimization comes into play. Through several info rich quality articles, with interest grabbingtitles, along with good key word strategy, you can be found by hundreds, if not thousands of consumers. Now who doesn't want that?

A well laid out content rich website, helps your readers to get to know who you are, what you can offer them, and how you can help them. It also allows you to build a relationship with them.

It establishes your presence in the business world. It acts like an online flyer so you can reach as many individuals as you need without the cost a single postage stamp. But it simply can't do you much good if no one can find you.
Search engines make that possible just like signs and maps make it possible for shoppers to find a certain store.

Whether you operate a local service in your town or are working to promote your products all over the world. The internet can be a very simple, but effective way to grow your business.

I once sold several bottles of a very popular diet product in one day due to a small web site I created that consistently mentioned the name of the product, several good key word articles, a blog and a whole lot of testimonials. All of course, related to what people were looking for when typing into the search engines! It was a very nice feeling.

That's good SEO. And that's exactly why you need it!
